Workshop on Safety and Control Valves
April 8-9, 2015
von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics
The Workshop entitled “ Safety & Regulation Valves” was held at the von Karman Institute on 8-9 April 2015, to make the state of the art of the latest developments in this field.
In particular, modelling of flows through industrial valves is of great scientific and practical interest, with a wide range of applications such as power generation, chemical, oil/gas , LNG and heating.
Emphasis will be given to two phase, non Newtonian and cryogenic flows. Studies conducted on small and large scale experimental systems and CFD simulation will be presented. All the devices such as safety valves, control valves, non return valves or micro–valves when operating under two phase or complex fluid flow conditions are concerned.
The workshop is intended to acquaint young researchers with this contemporary field, to promote collaboration and consolidate this area of research in Europe.”
The registration fee is 350 € (TVAC) until 1st March 2015, 400€ for late registration. This includes the cocktail, the lunch and the coffee breaks.
